Established in 2007 by Nathan Tinkler, Patinack Farm is the largest Australian-owned thoroughbred racing and breeding operation with more than 1,200 horses, nine stallions and a brood mare band of the highest quality in the country.
It has quickly been established as a leading racing stable and has developed a strong line up of stallions that have shown the talent to compete at the highest level in Australia’s juvenile events through to some of the most time-honoured weight for age (WFA) events in the country.
Patinack Farm emerged to tap into one of Nathan’s passions and at a time when the industry was reeling from the effects of the devastating Equine Influenza. It has invested around $300 million in the Australian racing industry over recent years – from buying horses to sponsoring metropolitan and country races.
Among the races Patinack Farm sponsors are the Blue Diamond Series (including the $1m Patinack Bonus) and Patinack Farm Classic (including the $600,000 Patinack Bonus) in Victoria, the AJC Oaks (including the $1m Patinack Bonus) in Sydney and the TJ Smith Stakes & Dane Ripper Stakes in Brisbane.
Patinack Farm also sponsors races in Newcastle, Scone, Wagga Wagga and Port Macquarie.
The company, which has breeding and racing stables located throughout New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland, is committed to its aim of becoming a major international player.
